The inward journey that Winter offers & the medicine of Wild Rose…

The featured photo of this post is my homemade Wild Rose Petal Elixhir made with brandy and honey…🍸🍯🌸

Winter Solstice is not that far away…

The more I learned how to nurture and bring warmth into my own body, heart and soul, the more I began to love and truly savour the colder, darker months of the year…

Because I love the inward journey that winter offers, overtime, I found ceremony and ritual in simple things that give me great pleasure…

I learned that as I could sit in stillness tending to my shadow, my inner child and my darker, more challenging emotions, this inner journey was mirrored in the medicine I gravitated towards in nature, to nourish and support me with love…

Throughout history, and in cultures all over the world, people have been drawn to the essence and medicine of roses to nurture the body, heart and soul…In Ayurvedic medicine, rose is considered unique because of its cooling properties aswell as its ability to enhance the digestive fire – “agni”. It’s therefore perfect for balancing all three doshas…

This Wild Rose Petal Elixhir made from the petals I gathered in the mountains, is literally the closest thing I have ever made to a love potion!…😍

Drinking it, I experience a wonderful warming, softening energy in my heart and it helps me calm a restless, scattered mind. I’m using it on grey days, when I feel we could both use the relaxing, uplifting and soothing properties of Rose, while I’m also reminded of all the wonderful memories of summer in the mountains with the abundant Wild Roses…

Use as a tincture, or a small amount in sparkling or warm water, in cocktails or in teas…

In many health stores you can find Rose tincture – or, it’s easy to make with your own rose petals. You could also simply add rose petals to honey for another way to infuse and use the wonderful medicinal value of rose. Afterwards, put outside in the sunshine everyday for upto 3 or 4 weeks…If you can’t access raw honey, try a honey that’s light in colour and flavour, therefore you’ll experience the rose perfume & taste sensation!)

As my Elixhir is disappearing too quickly ☺, I plan to make more! But this time, I’ll use some of the dried wild rose petals I stored away for winter like a squirrel!…

At this time of year, while everything in popular culture is designed to drain our spirit and life-force, (turning us into senseless, mega-consumers) Nature will always offer us MORE in the way of nourishment, love, fulfillment and life-energy…

Medicine truly is everywhere…

And let’s not forget,…
Not for everyone, but for the right people, there’s ALOT of medicine
in our unique journey of transformation,
and BECOMING…❤ 🐛🦋

Many people need love this time of year. If you feel this post might offer support to a heavy heart or anyone else who might benefit from my words – please share the love! Thanks.

“What matters most are the simple pleasures so abundant that we can all enjoy them…Happiness doesn’t lie in the objects we gather around us. To find it, all we need to do is open our eyes.” – The Little Prince

Some thoughts about sensitive children and being introverted…

In our modern world, the extroverted personality is often glorified,…
while those who are naturally more introverted are not being given the understanding and compassion they deserve…

Many introverts are very sensitive to life around them and can experience the world through the lense of a deeply connected and fulfilling INNER world…💫

They have no need or desire for endless relationships or the vibrant energy of people around them…Energy, fulfillment and balance come through silence, simplicity, being alone in nature or with one’s own clear and individual thoughts…

Early in life, children who show signs of naturally being this way need to hear that their gifts are unique, beautiful and equally beneficial to a world, which is often far too noisy and busy – with humans who struggle to find fulfillment or safety in the simplicity of their own stillness and inner silence…

Sensitive children are a gift to this world…

They can help us to connect with our own vulnerability, sensitivity, longing for love and compassion and to be true to our own heart and soul path…

In a world ready to be reborn, I hope we can all become more conscious of our own generational wounds so we don’t unconsciously project them onto the next generations…Above all, early on, we celebrate the individual essence and unique soul gifts, which are rare but beautifully present in every child…

A simple message from Hypericum, St John’s Wort 🌞

Hypericum perforatum: flower essence of light-filled protection and connection with our inner sun…

When we are always fearful of not “doing it right” or being “good enough”, it’s difficult to find the courage to explore new avenues in life…or try out new, more authentic ways of showing up in the world…

The internal critic and perfectionist are masters in stifling our growth and telling us in a million different ways,…we are worthless and small…

It’s not possible to abolish these internal voices who give us pain and destroy our self-worth. However, every soul is free to choose a path of healing and growing towards love and conscious awareness…

In shining a beacon of light on the wounded parts of Self, their power and control can begin to dissipate…

While we may be aware of their chaotic, relentless presence in the background, they are no longer taking center-stage…

Together, with the protective shield of Hypericum and our devotion to our inner work, we are growing more to a place of self-mastery and freedom,…a state of true being and profound witnessing…

Hypericum also supports us to remember the Spirit Beings of nature who take on many different and unique light forms…

These nature spirits of light and joy would like us to play, dance, create, be free and joyful,…Have fun and connect with them!… 🧚‍♀️

🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞

Since ancient times, Hypericum has been known as the herb of sunlight, embodying both its light and warming energies…During Antiquity, Greek and Romans used Hypericum for spiritual protection, but also to burn for purification of the home. Hypericum provided healing for wounds and bites, digestive disorders, and support for depression, despair and suicidal tendencies.

Hypericum works well for those who suffer from depression, anxiety and insomnia. But also those who are sensitive…A flower essence of Hypericum not only offers spiritual/psychic protection but supports us to anchor light into our body and soul and radiate this light and warmth from within our own true source.

🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞🌟 🌞

Recently, I had a chance to make a flower essence of Hypericum perforatum (St John’s Wort)…

While I still consider myself to be a novice, the flower-essence process gives me a much greater opportunity to dive into the mystical realm of flower power and unravel the deeper, intuitive messages they wish to communicate…Making flower essences takes me into a very sacred, ceremonial space with nature and I really love it!…

Can you see the Marmot spirit in the photo of me making the Hypericum flower essence?…🤗

Over the past months, the Marmot has been making his presence known to me in unique ways. However, I’m taking the sign of him being present with me (in the photo with Hypericum), that he is now travelling beside me as my new animal spirit guide and teacher…🥰

I’m very happy about this, because, among the many character qualities and spiritual gifts the Marmot represents, it shows I am ready to embrace new avenues in my life.

Hi, I’m Jaymie. I journey deeply with nature spirits, animal and plant medicine, as well as flower essences. My work is to assist and offer support for the transformational work of the heart, using my gifts in intuitive soul guidance and inner child healing. I offer personal, skype sessions to support your personal growth and expression of your unique talents and soul gifts in this life.

Only your heart and soul can guide you to the truth.

Do not believe anything because it is said by an authority,
or if it is said to come from angels,
or from Gods, or from an inspired source.
Believe it only if you have explored it in your own heart
and mind and body and found it to be true.
Work out your own path, through diligence.

~Gautama Buddha

Too often, we accept information presented to us as the truth, with no effort to ask any honest, critical, or introspective questions. We’ve become so blinded by outer “nicely packaged” forms of deception – especially, by people we see as having authority, power or “more knowledge” than us.

In the age of information, we are increasingly impatient. Our impatience will lead us away from the truth – every time. Our inability to sit with the discomfort and challenge of “not knowing” will prevent us from any real discernment – and the clarity and perceptiveness of our heart/soul knowing. Our fear of rejection from others will keep us bound to comfortable yet restricted ways of viewing ourselves, each-other and the world.

When presented with new information about any person or any subject, drop into your feeling heart space…how does it feel in your solar plexus (stomach area)?

What does your heart say to you?

If something I read or see in a person does not feel right to me, I try to sit with the discomfort and inner conflict… I believe this is an internal space, we all need to feel, with patience, humility and finally relinquishing our need to “know”, to be right or be in control.

When I have questions about any person or subject, I ask my soul being for answers. I practice allowing the wisdom of my heart to guide me. I trust and know these answers can be revealed to me in many different and sometimes completely irrational ways, i.e. through reading an article (which pops up unexpectedly, but in perfect synchronicity while browsing online) or sharing a conversation with a stranger, friend, a child, an animal, mountain, rock, plant or tree.

Because I believe that a spirit moves through all of life, I know that ALL beings can be my teacher (if I am willing and open to listen). Of course, this is nothing revolutionary. It is a return to the ancient feminine way of the right brain, feeling, intuitive or yin-being. It is the power of the feminine principal, which indigenous people and shamanic cultures around the world have practiced daily as a deeply interconnected and balanced way of life.

Above all, I have learned that being able to see and feel the truth in people and in the world, is an internal process of removing the veils of illusion in myself first (i.e. my past wounded beliefs, patterns and projections on to others, which I may cling too, out of fear and a need for control to feel safe and “accepted”). I also try to allow space for new information to come in because I do not agree with staying “fixed” or inflexible to soul growth and expansion.

I feel grateful to be journeying with a partner who challenges me, every day, to see and feel the truth both in myself, in people and in the world. Juerg is not afraid to call out my (or his own) shadow – false illusions, beliefs and self-deceptions. In doing so, we both offer each other the immense opportunity to grow from a limited human understanding – to see and feel more clearly and deeper from our feeling heart and infinite soul being.

“The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived and dishonest – but the myth – persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.” – John F. Kennedy

What does it mean to be a Gardener of the Soul?

I am reflecting on the lives of two men who have inspired peace in the world through their art, love of nature/gardening, music, philosophy, activism, poetry and wisdom… John Lennon (also a Libran like myself 🙂 ) and Claude Monet.

During his international career as a Musician, Poet, Activist and influential Ambassador for World Peace, John Lennon has been quoted as saying;

“Peace is not something you wish for,
it is something you make, something you do,
something you are and something you give away”

“My role in society, or any artist’s or poet’s role,
is to try and express what we all feel.
Not to tell people how to feel.
Not as a preacher, not as a leader,
but as a reflection of us all.”

“Love is like a precious plant.
You can’t just accept it and leave it in the cupboard
or just think it’s going to get on by itself.
You’ve got to keep on watering it.
You’ve got to really look after it and nurture it.”

“I’m not really a career person; I’m a gardener, basically.”

“Monet’s Lillie’s”, Monet’s Garden, June 2015 © Juerg Dreamturtle

Every year, some 500 000 visitors come from around the world to visit Claude Monet’s Garden in Giverny, France. Over many decades, millions of people have been touched by Monet’s peaceful and tranquil impressionist paintings. People are attracted because of the essence of calm and peace Monet was able to capture in his beautiful paintings and in his garden. For many years, I had prints of Monet’s Water Lillie’s hanging in my bedroom. When I walked into my bedroom, I remember how the paintings made me feel peaceful, balanced and at ease with my surroundings.

Not all of us have the gift of music and poetry to collectively inspire people’s minds and hearts like John – in a positive and powerful way. Not all of us have the opportunity to create a beautiful garden or the ability to paint like Monet did.

However, I believe we all have the chance in this life to work on our inner selves,…to grow in love and peace by owning and transforming our shadow self (our core wounds), healing and forgiving ourselves and others.

I refer to this work as “Soul Work” – and having been a “Gardener of the Soul” for many years now, I believe this is the true work I am here to do, be and share!

I have learned that the beautiful or impressive garden we create on the “outside”, is not as important as the garden we nurture and grow on the “inside”…

The Garden of our Soul is hidden to the eye but felt with the heart…

The Soul Garden we are nurturing, sustaining, lovingly tending too and growing every day – is the most important and true work we are here for.

As we honour our true selves and continue with our Soul Work, the universe will reflect back to us our inner transformation – we can attract more loving, authentic relationships into our lives and experience a sense of deeper peace and purpose for our journey. Although, this does not mean our healing and growing ever stops or we no longer attract challenges in our lives! However, over time, we can become more of a beacon of light to inspire others towards inner peace, truth and fulfillment for themselves.

Real, lasting peace is not something we can “take” from another or a piece of art or music to temporarily “feel better”. We each have to make the commitment to work towards peace in ourselves and this can be a challenging, demanding yet truly rewarding process over many, many lifetimes of experience and growth.

The book, “Sacred Journey” is very much about this inner work of growing towards love and peace in ourselves, in our lives and in the world. Why not order a copy of the book “Sacred Journey”  to honour this day – International World Peace Day?

Do you long to experience life more from the level of your heart and soul…?

I was asking a question to my spirit guides about what this really means… and this was their reply to me…

Human beings naturally crave structure, security,
or a clear and straight path laid out before them.
Many search for a spiritual leader or community,
a daily routine, ‘an acceptable way’ to follow –
so life feels more safe, predictable and ‘known’…

But the heart yearns for the deeper springs of life
and the path of the soul
is uniquely your own.

It’s a pathway that you forge into the unknown
and only your heart can intuitively feel/know
what is right and true for you.

If you really choose this path,
with all your heart and being,
know that you will be challenged.

You will need courage and perseverance
to keep opening your heart
towards the unhealed shadow
– of which has been ‘hidden’ to you…

Experiences which may come to you
won’t always be easy, pleasant or beautiful…
It may sometimes feel as if you walk a lonely path
but you will always be much closer to us than you know…

Above all,…you will grow,…

There will be others…
Soul friends and spiritual companions to meet again,
Soul family to share laughter, tears,
wisdom and experiences along the way…

It will not matter,
if you only cross paths for a short moment
or never meet each other in the physical.
It’s the mutual exchange of heart energy,
which has the power to transform, heal,
inspire and illuminate lives.

Dear one,
to live your life from the level of the heart and soul
means to become conscious of your old wounds
and from these limiting beliefs and conditioning,
create new, loving and joyful possibilities…

It means to recognise the importance of your inner work
and honour yourself as a sacred conduit –
here to shine your inner light

& help raise the consciousness and heart energy
on beautiful Mother Earth…

It means wherever possible,
guided by your feelings and heart
– to transform darkness, hurt and fear
into light, love, forgiveness, beauty,
 gratitude and fulfillment.

This is the magic,
the spiritual alchemy,
the infinite possibility,
the authenticity, humility and freedom
of living – connected and true –
to your heart and soul.

The Soul Purpose of our Journey

Do you wish to grow towards being your authentic self,…
or continue to be pressured to “achieve”
based on the values and expectations of other people and society?

In today’s world, there is much pressure to conform and achieve according to the standards of other people and society. Success is seen as being “driven”, “motivated”, “famous”, “looking good”, “getting ahead” and accumulating status, popularity or material possessions.

Let us ask ourselves these questions,… Are we being true to our heart? Are we sharing the true essence of who we are? Despite our self-doubts and vulnerabilities, do we find the courage to keep moving forward and into the unknown? Is the life we live a reflection of our own gifts, talents, and creative expression? Are we sincerely devoted to our path of healing and growing? Are we in alignment with a greater, higher power rather than our ego’s shallow needs, wants and desires?

Mainstream society does not encourage self-reflection and completely neglects the inner journey of discovering who we are, embodying our unique, creative potential and a sense of purpose for our life.

Journey with my Lion – what it means to embody Lion energy.

I believe that when we are ready and open, a spirit animal will appear to us – as our teacher, friend and guardian. This spirit animal may be a life companion who remains close to us, throughout our entire life. Alternatively, different animals may appear to us as we change, embrace new experiences and grow.

The Lion represents courage to be our authentic self – to speak and act in harmony with our heart…even if it means, we stand alone in a crowd. The Lion does not expect others to lead him, nor does he search for followers. He seeks respect, rather than attention. The Lion knows he is here for his own journey of experience, learning and self-discovery. He acts in accordance with his own heart / inner truth. He assumes full accountability and self-responsibility for his own choices and actions. As a leader, the highest service Lion offers others is to live one’s truth and lead by example with integrity and compassion.
